Carter Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the hiring of Chad Wright to serve as a commercial banker in Charlotte.

Wright previously served as a commercial banker at Park National Bank and brings more than 15 years of experience to the Carter team. Wright, who has worked with many of the premier real estate developers in the Charlotte-area, will operate out of the Bank’s newest location on East Morehead.

“I’m really excited to join Carter Bank & Trust and play a role in the Bank’s further expansion into the Charlotte market,” Wright said. “It’s going to be an exciting challenge and I believe Carter is positioned to serve the area well, both with personal relationship banking and a wide suite of products and services for every need.”

Wright will also serve western North Carolina, in addition to his role in Charlotte.

“Chad is a great addition to our team and will certainly play a big role in our expansion into Charlotte,” Regional Executive Zac Snyder said. “Not only does Chad bring a significant amount of experience in the commercial banking space, he’s also local to the area and his knowledge of Charlotte and western North Carolina will be a great asset not only for Carter Bank & Trust, but our customers as well.”

Wright holds a degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University and resides in the Charlotte-area with his wife and three children.

The East Morehead location is Carter Bank & Trust’s first branch in the Charlotte market and has both retail and commercial banking services.
